Call for Papers - Black Disabled Leadership Summit

NMDC is looking for presentations that can help us all better understand the dynamics of disability-community organizing in Black communities. 

NMDC welcomes papers from organizers and scholars.

You are invited to submit abstracts of approximately 750 - 1,000 words on any or all topics: (a) reveal best practices through successful outcomes, (b) discuss the "how to" of community collaboration, (c) tell real-life stories of community organizing, (d) analyze the relationships between theory and practice,  (e) report on the experience of organizing in a changing structural-historical context.

The paper must be submitted electronically to jdunhamn@nmdc.us using a word processing or html format: absolutely no pdf files will be considered.  Text must be double spaced in a non-serif 16 point font.

Proposal submission deadline: January 29, 2010.  Submissions will be reviewed by the Summit program committee.   Applicants will be notified by February 15, 2010.
