NBDC Welcomes New Jersey Black Deaf Advocates
Members of the New Jersey Black Deaf Advocates (NJBDA), seek to inform ourselves and the larger community about the rights and responsibilities of Black Deaf citizens of New Jersey. We disseminate information related to social, economic, educational and health issues, encourage leadership development and advocate for equal access and the general well-being of Black Deaf people.
NMDC Receives Award
NMDC received the Unity Achievement Award from the New Jersey Human Relations Council for Outstanding Achievement by a Non-Profit Organization on November 17, 2009. The New Jersey Human Relations Council promotes "prejudice reduction" education and addresses the problems of bias and violent acts based on the victim's race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender or disability.
